Chuck’s Guides – DCS Mi-24P Hind

| Chuck’s Guides | DCS Guides |

Few helicopters are as iconic and unique as the Mil Mi-24 (Russian Миль Ми-24). NATO codenamed it the “Hind”, the media dubbed it the “Crocodile”, Mujahideens nicknamed it “Satan’s Chariot”, DCS BLUFOR players call it “Not an Apache”, but Russian pilots call their flying tank none of those things. They simply call it… “Mi-24″. The story of the Mi-24, popularized by the Soviet-Afghan war of 1979-1989, is a crazy tale of ingenuity and derring-do. It’s an unconventional machine that ended up being widely exported due to its affordable cost, rugged construction, predictable handling, smart design decisions and excellent performance. Its adversaries feared it, and rightfully so. Let’s discover this mean-looking helicopter together.
